AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Travis County now has 244 confirmed cases of COVID-19, according to new numbers relased by health officials Tuesday.

The new total is an increase of 38 over Monday's total of 206.

Tuesday morning, officials announced an ongoing investigation into a group of people in their 20s who had taken a chartered plane to Mexico last week for Spring Break. Upon their return, at least 28 members of the group tested positive for COVID-19.

Also on Tuesday, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott issued a new executive order calling for Texans to stay home except for essential activities.
