County shelter needs to adopt 100 cats or they'll face euthanization

WILLIAMSON COUNTY (KJCE) -- Interested in a furever feline friend? Williamson County's Regional Animal Shelter is bursting at the seams with kitties that need a home - quickly.

The shelter said on Wednesday that it needed to find adoptive or foster homes for 100 cats in 3 days - or it would have to start euthanizing otherwise healthy cats because they are simply out of space to care for them. Since the original post on Facebook, the shelter says it's already found foster homes for 12 cats and kittens.

To make it even easier, the shelter is offering reduced adoption fees of only $1 through Sunday. Prospective cat parents need to be 18 years or older, bring an ID and fill out adoption paperwork.

The WilCo shelter is located at 1855 SE Inner Loop, in Georgetown.
