AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- The search for a southwest Travis County 4-year old has ended, with his safe return to his father.

Travis County Sheriff's officials issued a regional AMBER Alert late Thursday night for 4-year old Marsdan Ellis Harp, continuing into late Friday afternoon. Late Friday, officials cancelled the AMBER Alert, saying the immediate threat to Marsdan had subsided; about an hour later, officials said he had been reunited with his father.

Harp had been last seen in the 9600 block of Dawning Court in southwest Travis County near Oak Hill around 2 p.m. Thursday afternoon. He was allegedly taken by his mother, identified as 38-year old Celina Jean Harp.

An arrest warrant issued Friday afternoon for Harp says that she had supervised visitation of Marsdan on Christmas Day. When the child’s father went to pick him up, he discovered that Harp had taken him. Later, police say Marsdan's father received an e-mail from Harp saying that she was refusing to bring Marsdan back, wanting another court date to present evidence in her case.

Harp had been seen traveling south on MoPac near FM 2244 at some point Thursday, driving a dark green Ford Fusion with Texas license plate LGV-3638. Police attempted to stop her at that location but were unable to make a stop after giving chase. Once arrested, police say Harp will be charged with third degree felony evading arrest.

Anyone with information on Harp's whereabouts is asked to call 911.
