AMBER Alert issued for North Texas 2-year old

Eli Smith found safe, police say

UPDATE: Burkburnett police say Eli has been found safe. Smith and Golden are in custody in New Mexico.

BURKBURNETT, Texas (KJCE) -- An AMBER Alert has been issued for a missing 2-year old from North Texas.

Police in Burkburnett, which is just north of Wichita Falls, are searching for Eli Scott Smith. He's described as 2 years old, white, approximately 36 inches tall and 32 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a light blue thermal with a truck on it, and blue jeans.

The suspect in the abduction is 48-year old Michael Scott Smith. He's described as a white male, 5 foot 8 inches tall weighing 205 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a black fox hat, blue shirt, and blue jeans.

Police are also looking for 51-year-old Robin Michelle Golden, a white woman, 5 foot 6 inches weighing 145 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.

Smith is said to be driving a black 2003 Saturn Vue with California license plate DP416RZ. All three were last seen in Burkburnett Tuesday afternoon.
