APD seeking public's help in North Austin hotel shooting

AUSTIN ( -- Austin Police are seeking the public's help in identifying a person of interest from a deadly shooting on the city's north side.

Police were called to the Quality Inn at 7928 Gessner Drive just after 8 p.m. Sunday evening, on a report of an "explosion". When police arrived, they found 28-year old Jannerra Williams with trauma to his body; EMS pronounced him deceased a short time later.

911 callers reported several people run through the hotel's lobby a short time after the noise. Police are looking for the public's help identifying the man shown in this clip from hotel surveillance footage.
