The bureau released its 2018 population estimates Thursday, ranking the Austin-Round Rock metro as the seventh fastest-growing in the nation last year in terms of numeric growth.

The metro boasted growth of more than 53,000 residents between July 2017 and the end of June 2018. Since April 2010, the area has added more than 450,000 residents.
