Williamson County Coronavirus Updates COVID-19

WILLIAMSON COUNTY (Talk1370.com) -- Local health officials say another Williamson County resident has died due to COVID-19.

The patient, a man in his 90s, brings the number of deaths in WilCo to 21.

"This is not the first time we have had to face the devastating news of a member of our community passing, and unfortunately it may not be the last," Williamson County Judge Bill Gravell said in a statement. "For that reason, it is crucial that I emphasize the importance of protecting the elderly and anyone with an underlying health condition. By wearing a face-covering in public, utilizing proper sanitation methods, and keeping a distance of at least six feet from other people, you are helping us keep these vulnerable folks out of the hands of COVID-19. Together, we can make a positive impact and protect our community members."

As of Friday morning, there are 528 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the county. 11 people are hospitalized and 3 are on a ventilator. 294 of the cases are considered to be recovered.
