AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Here are the latest coronavirus updates from local health officials across Central Texas, for August 4:

Travis County: 273 new cases and 2 new deaths were reported Tuesday by Austin Public Health, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 21,822 with 287 deaths. An estimated 19,570 cases have recovered, leaving 1,965 active cases - a decrease of 33 from Monday.

309 patients are hospitalized across the five county metro area - a decrease of 1 from Monday - with 113 in intensive care and 74 on ventilators.

41 new admissions were reported Tuesday, with the 7-day moving average of new admissions steady at 37.

Williamson County: 98 new cases were reported Tuesday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 5,930 with 80 deaths. 5,299 cases are estimated to be recovered, leaving 551 active cases - an increase of 6 from Monday. 61 patients are hospitalized, with 28 in intensive care and 18 on ventilators.

Hays County: 38 new cases and 2 new deaths were reported Tuesday, bringing the total number of cases to 4,931 with 31 deaths. 2,022 cases have recovered, leaving 2,878 active cases - a decrease of 6 from Monday. 21 patients are hospitalized, a decrease of 2 from Monday.

Bastrop County: 6 new cases were reported Tuesday by DSHS, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 1,302 with 18 deaths. 908 cases have recovered, leaving 376 active cases - a decrease of 23 from Monday.

Caldwell County: 9 new cases and 1 new death were reported Tuesday by DSHS, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 1,080 with 24 deaths. 742 cases have recovered, leaving 314 active cases - a decrease of 3 from Monday.

State of Texas: 9,167 new cases were reported Tuesday, bringing the total number of cases to 451,181. 245 new deaths were reported across the state, bringing the total number of fatalities to 7,261. 8,674 Texans are hospitalized across the state, a decrease of 145 from Monday.
