COVID-19 By The Numbers, July 4: Travis County adds 122 new cases

AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Here are the latest coronavirus updates from across Central Texas, for July 4:

Travis County: 122 new cases of COVID-19 and two new deaths were reported in Travis County on Saturday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 11,131 with 136 deaths. 8,275 of the cases are estimated to be recovered, leaving 2,720 active cases - a decrease of 148 from Friday.

434 patients are hospitalized across the five county metro area, an increase of 16 from Friday. 156 patients are in intensive care and 70 are on ventilators. 64 new admissions were reported on Saturday, bringing the 7-day moving average of new hospitalizations to 61.7.

Williamson County: No new data was reported Saturday in Williamson County. As of Friday, there were 2,469 confirmed cases, of which 1,390 were active with 972 recoveries and 42 deaths. 102 patients are hospitalized with 32 in intensive care and 11 on ventilators.

Hays County: No new data was reported Saturday, leaving the total number of confirmed cases at 3,067.

Bastrop County: No new data was reported Saturday. DSHS reports a total of 468 confirmed cases.

Caldwell County: According to DSHS data, Caldwell County has a total of 437 confirmed cases.

State of Texas: 8,258 new cases were reported across the state Saturday, bringing the total number of cases to 191,790. 33 new deaths were also reported, for a total of 2,608. 238 new hospitalizations were reported, bringing the total number of patients hospitalized to a high of 7,890.
