COVID-19 By The Numbers, June 30: Travis County adds 558 new cases, 3 new deaths

    AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Here are the latest coronavirus updates from local health officials across Central Texas, for June 30:

    Travis County: 558 new cases were reported Tuesday by Austin Public Health, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 9,527. 3 new deaths were also reported, pushing the total number of fatalities to 124. 6,560 of those cases are recovered, leaving 2,843 active cases - an increase of 112 from Monday's report. Total hospitalizations increased by one Tuesday, bringing the total number to 369 across the five county metro area with 132 in intensive care and 64 on ventilators.

    Officials say 67 new patients were admitted into area hospitals Tuesday, with the 7-day moving average of new hospitalizations now at 55.

    Williamson County: Two new deaths and 130 new cases were reported Tuesday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 2,230 with 39 deaths. There are 904 recovered cases and 1,247 active. Hospitalizations in Williamson County continue to increase, with 103 patients currently hospitalized - an increase of 21 from Monday, with 33 in intensive care and 10 on ventilators.

    Hays County: One new death and 158 new cases were reported Tuesday, pushing the total number of confirmed cases to 2,819 with 7 deaths. 2,340 of the cases are active, with 472 recoveries. Hospitalizations continue to decrease slightly, down 2 to 17 Tuesday.

    Bastrop County: 3 new cases were reported Tuesday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 439. 156 of those are recovered, with 6 deaths leaving 277 active cases.

    Caldwell County: DSHS reported 4 new cases Tuesday, for a total of 336 cases.

    State of Texas: Texas set another all-time record on Tuesday, reporting 6,975 new cases and 21 new deaths. That brings the total number of confirmed cases to 159,986, with 2,424 fatalities. Hospitalizations continue to grow, with another 620 Texans hospitalized for a total of 6,533.
