AUSTIN ( -- Fire crews spent much of Sunday morning putting out a two-alarm blaze at a home in Westlake Hills.

Crews responded to the 500 block of Buckeye Trail just after 7 a.m. Sunday morning. A second alarm was called out after about an hour, as the fire spread through the home.

In addition to Westlake Fire, crews from Austin Fire, Oak Hill, and Ce-Bar helped extinguish the blaze.

Crews say the fire went to the equivalent of a third alarm for relief crews before the blaze was finally put out.

Austin Fire officials say one of their firefighters was treated by Austin-Travis County EMS, transported to a nearby hospital and released while battling the fire.
