AUSTIN ( -- With the All Together ATX effort by Austin's media outlets well underway, the community-led fund has picked up a matching grant from the Michael and Susan Dell Foundation.

The Dell Foundation is one of Austin's largest philanthropic groups, and has pledged to match $250,000 in donations.

All Together ATX aims to help those who need it most due to the COVID-19 pandemic, awarding grants to local organizations that are already involved in providing basic needs to those in need. The campaign is a partnership of the United Way for Greater Austin and the Austin Community Foundation.

"Every day, we are committed to supporting the 150,000 low-income children and their families in Central Texas who face day-to-day challenges in their pursuit of stability and success," the Dells said in a statement. "It is imperative to us that we accelerate our impact now by leveraging the power of strong partners like the Austin Community Foundation and the United Way for Greater Austin to help support children and their families who will continue to face new challenges and realities as a result of COVID-19."

As of 10 a.m. Friday morning, more than $1.6 million had been raised. You can find out more details at
