DRIPPING SPRINGS (KJCE) -- A Dripping Springs High School student is in custody on drug charges after three other students overdosed on LSD, officials say.

The Hays County Sheriff's Office says deputies have responded to three separate drug overdose calls involving students at Dripping Springs High School in the past week. Each of the students had ingested LSD.

A subsequent investigation led to 18-year old Alyssa Qualls being arrested and charged with manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance, and delivery of a controlled substance to a child. The latter charge is a second-degree felony, punishable by two to 20 years in prison.

Qualls has been booked into the Hays County Jail and is awaiting magistration.
