AUSTIN (KJCE) -- An Excessive Heat Warning has been issued for Travis and Williamson Counties and portions of the Hill Country through at least Sunday.

The National Weather Service says afternoon temperatures will be between 103 and 107 degrees, as dry conditions and high pressure intensify over the area. Forecasters say the hot temperatures will increase the risk of heat related illnesses such as heat exhaustion and heat stroke.

The all-time record high in Austin is 112 degrees, set back in 2000 and tied again in 2011.
