FORECAST: Breezy, dry, sunny for Thursday; cooler this weekend

AUSTIN (KJCE) -- As we move towards the final weekend of SXSW, breezy, sunny, and dry will sum up Austin's forecast for Thursday.

Another front pushed through the area overnight, bringing drier air into the area and pushing out showers and fog. Winds will stay breezy through Thursday, with more sun than clouds pushing our highs into the 70s.

A cold front will push through overnight, dropping afternoon highs on Friday into the upper 50s.

Here's a look at the extended forecast for Austin:

REST OF TODAY...Mostly clear. Highs in the lower 70s. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph.

TONIGHT...Colder. Mostly clear. Lows in the mid 40s. North winds 10 to 15 mph.

FRIDAY...Cooler. Mostly sunny in the morning then becoming partly cloudy. Highs in the upper 50s. North winds 10 to 15 mph.

FRIDAY NIGHT...Partly cloudy. Lows in the upper 30s. North winds 5 to 10 mph.

SATURDAY...Partly cloudy. Highs in the upper 50s. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph.

SATURDAY NIGHT...Mostly cloudy before midnight then becoming partly cloudy. Lows around 40.

SUNDAY THROUGH MONDAY...Partly cloudy. Highs in the mid 60s. Lows in the lower 40s.

MONDAY NIGHT...Mostly cloudy. Lows in the upper 40s.

TUESDAY AND TUESDAY NIGHT...Partly cloudy. Highs in the upper 60s. Lows in the mid 40s.

WEDNESDAY...Mostly sunny. Highs in the lower 70s.
