Fourth COVID-19 related death in Williamson County, 6 new cases

WILLIAMSON COUNTY (Talk1370.com) -- A fourth person - a woman in her 50s - has died due to COVID-19 in Williamson County, officials announced Tuesday.

Six new positive cases of the disease were confirmed as well, bringing the total to 87. 37 of those have recovered, according to county health data.

"Our county is mourning another loss today. The sad news is a reminder of the battle we are up against with this virus, and how it will take all of us working together to keep our community from being further impacted," Williamson County Judge Bill Gravell said.

Of the six new cases, three are in Georgetown, one is in Hutto, one is in Round Rock, and one is in smaller areas of the county.

Nearly half - 46% - of Williamson County's cases are in the 41 to 60 age bracket.
