AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Austin's largest grocery chain, H-E-B, says it will extend temporary store hours beginning next week.

Starting Monday, April 27, H-E-B stores across the state will expand their hours to 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. 7 days a week. Central Market locations will be open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

Hours have been reduced at H-E-B stores since March 15, in an effort to give stores more time to clean and re-stock items during the overnight hours.

Officials say an improving supply chain and stronger product availability means they can serve more customers. The chain also says its bakery, deli, and floral departments will begin to re-open next week.

In-store pharmacies will continue to operaate from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, along with their normal weekend hours.
