SAN ANTONIO (Talk1370.com) -- A new limited-edition cookie available in H-E-B stores will not only satisfy your sweet tooth, but help fellow Texans affected by disaster.

The grocery chain says a portion of the proceeds from its new H-E-B Choco Coco Twisters, which became available in stores on Monday, will be donated directly to the American Red Cross for use in its disaster recovery efforts across the state.

The cookies feature coconut crème and bits of real coconut candy flakes sandwiched between two chocolate cookies. H-E-B says the limited edition cookies will be available exclusively in its stores through the summer.

The grocery chain says its fundraising effort was motivated by the strength and fortitude shown throughout the state after Hurricane Harvey battered coastal communities throughout Texas such as Houston and the Golden Triangle, Rockport, Galveston and Port Aransas.
