May 10, 2019 - 8:38 am

AUSTIN ( -- City officials are warning the public to stay away from a landslide on the west side of Shoal Creek, between 24th Street and Shoal Creek Boulevard.

Officials say the landslide shifted on Wednesday, causing debris to fall into Shoal Creek. That debris, which is partially blocking the creek, could cause flooding issues for Lamar Boulevard and nearby buildings.

The city says it is monitoring flows in Shoal Creek and is prepared to take action if necessary. The public should continue to use the sidewalks along Lamar Boulevard as a detour, and stay away from the landslide area.

More information is available on the City's website.
