AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- One person is dead and another was seriously injured after a pin-in crash early Sunday morning.

First responders were called to the 10200 block of North Interstate 35's southbound frontage road just before 2 a.m. Sunday. A 911 caller reported a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed behind her; when the vehicle overtook the caller's vehicle, it swerved, hit another parked vehicle, and crashed into a nearby building.

According to Austin-Travis County EMS, a man in his 50s was pronounced deceased on the scene; police believe the man was the driver of the vehicle and was ejected. Another man, described by EMS as being in his 20s, was transported to Round Rock Medical Center with serious, potentially life-threatening injuries.
