AUSTIN (KJCE) -- One person is dead and several were injured following a fatal crash in southwest Austin Wednesday afternoon.

Austin Police say the crash happened in the 5900 block of William Cannon Drive around 3:45 p.m. Police received several 911 calls about a crash at William Cannon and Ridge Oak Drive, where a maroon sedan and a black pickup truck collided. Police say the driver of the sedan was pinned in her vehicle, and Austin-Travis County EMS pronounced her deceased on the scene.

Three other patients were involved; a male in his 50s sustained serious injuries, while a male in his 20s sustained minor injuries. Both were transported to St. David's South Austin. Medics say the final patient refused treatment.
