AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Partly cloudy skies are in store for Friday, with all eyes on the Gulf of Mexico as a potential tropical storm moves closer to the Texas coast.

Highs will reach into the upper 80s under partly cloudy skies Friday, with northeast winds 10 to 15 mph.

Friday night, skies will turn mostly clear, with lows falling into the mid 60s.

All eyes remain on Tropical Depression 22, which could potentially impact the Texas coast early next week. Confidence in the forecast models remains very low at this point, but most models predict the system turning into a tropical storm or even category 1 hurricane.

SATURDAY...Sunny. Highs in the mid 80s. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Gusts up to 25 mph in the afternoon.

SATURDAY NIGHT...Clear. Lows in the lower 60s. Northeast winds 5 to 10 mph.

SUNDAY...Partly cloudy. A 20 percent chance of showers in the afternoon. Highs in the lower 80s. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts to around 25 mph.

SUNDAY NIGHT AND MONDAY...Mostly cloudy with a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Lows in the mid 60s. Highs in the upper 70s.

MONDAY NIGHT...Mostly cloudy with a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Lows in the mid 60s.

TUESDAY...Cloudy with a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs in the upper 70s.

TUESDAY NIGHT AND WEDNESDAY...Mostly cloudy with a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Lows in the mid 60s. Highs in the lower 80s.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT...Partly cloudy. Lows in the lower 60s.

THURSDAY...Partly cloudy. Slight chance of showers in the morning, then a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs in the lower 80s. Chance of rain 20 percent.
