Police identify motorcycle rider killed in South Austin accident

AUSTIN (KJCE) -- Austin Police have identified the man killed Wednesday morning along Oltorf Street in South Austin.

Police say the driver of a gray Mini Cooper was traveling westbound on Oltorf when she lost control and slid into the path of an oncoming motorcycle driven by 32-year old Trevor Ralston. Ralston's motorcycle struck into the right side of the Mini Cooper.

Medics pronounced Ralston deceased on the scene.

Police say the driver of the Mini Cooper was cited for failure to control speed.

An investigation continues into the accident; anyone with information on the case is asked to call Austin Police at (512) 974-5576.
