Police investigating south side bank robbery

AUSTIN (KJCE) -- Austin Police are investigating a bank robbery on the city's south side Wednesday afternoon.

Police say the call came in just after noon from a Wells Fargo location in the 500 block of East Ben White Boulevard. A male suspect entered the bank, demanded money, and left with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured during the robbery.

The suspect is described as a white male in his early to mid 30s, standing 6' tall, weighing approximately 185 pounds with a thin build, short brown hair and a goatee, wearing a burnt orange UT baseball cap with a long sleeve blue shirt, blue jeans, brown cowboy boots, and an orange UT backpack. The suspect fled the scene in a white SUV, believed to be a Ford Explorer with silver trim and running boards, and tinted windows.
