AUSTIN (KJCE) -- Police say a multi-agency operation tracked and intercepted a shipment of synthetic K2 powder headed for Austin.

Austin Police say they received information from U.S. Customs and Border Protection identifying two mail parcels from China headed for Austin. Each of the parcels contained a kilogram of undiluted synthetic cannabinoid powder, otherwise known as K2.

Officials with the United States Postal Service, the Drug Enforcement Agency, and the Department of Homeland Security identified the suspect as 51-year old Keith Nunley.

Nunley was taken into custody without incident and has been charged in federal court. He is currently in the custody of U.S. Marshalls.

Officials say the undiluted K2 powder could have created many kilograms of finished K2 product.
