CEDAR PARK (KJCE) -- Cedar Park Police say they've identified a possible suspect in a Saturday carjacking.

Police are not yet identifying the suspect, who was arrested on unrelated charges. No charges have been filed yet in the carjacking case.

The incident happened Saturday night around 10 p.m. in the parking lot of the H-E-B store at 2800 East Whitestone Boulevard. A man walked up to a running car, which police describe as a red Mazda CX5, and told a mother and her children to get out. The father had gone inside the store.

Officials say the suspect was arrested on unrelated charges stemming from a warrant issued by another agency. The Mazda CX5 was found abandoned in a neighboring city.
