AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- If your travel plans include traveling RM 620 near Mansfield Dam Monday morning, you might want to find an alternate route.

The Lower Colorado River Authority says crews will be working on an LCRA transmission line. Traffic will be stopped intermittently in both directions on 620 near the dam between 9 a.m. and noon Monday.

The closures are expected to last for no more than 15 minutes at a time.

During the traffic stops, multiple pieces of equipment, including a helicopter, will be used to remove old fiber from the transmission line. Removal of the fiber is one of the final steps in the project to upgrade and storm harden the transmission line between LCRA’s Marshall Ford Substation and Austin Energy’s Lakeway Tap.
