AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- The University of Texas is at the top of another list, but this time it's not a welcome distinction.

The campus has the highest number of COVID-19 cases among colleges across the country, according to a new report from the New York Times.

The survey looked at every public four-year college in the country, as well as private institutions that either compete in Division I athletics or are part of an elite group of research universities.

UT-Austin tops the list with 449 reported cases, followed by Central Florida, Georgia, Washington, and Florida. Just outside the top five is UT's Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, with 207 reported cases.

As far as other Texas schools, UT-Rio Grande Valley has 95 cases, Baylor University has reported 42 cases, Texas Tech has reported 23 cases, Texas State has reported 5 cases, and Texas A&M has reported 2 cases.
