Second COVID-19 death reported in Williamson County, now 77 cases

WILLIAMSON COUNTY (Talk1370.com) -- Williamson County officials said Sunday a second person has died from COVID-19, as the number of positive cases in the county climbed to 77.

The resident who died was a man in his 50s, officials said. Only limited information can be released due to patient privacy laws.

"I extend my deepest sympathies and prayers to his family and friends," County Judge Bill Gravell said.

One new case was reported in Round Rock, bringing the total number of cases in the city to 30.

Local health officials say 30 of the county's 77 cases have recovered.
