Shooting on East Sixth sends two to hospital

AUSTIN ( -- Two people are recovering in the hospital after a downtown shooting early Sunday.

Police say a fight broke out just before 2 a.m., around closing time, in the 300 block of East Sixth Street. According to Austin-Travis County EMS, it happened in front of the bar Terminal 6.

ATCEMS says an adult male with critical, life-threatening injuries and an adult female with serious, potentially life-threatening injuries were transported to the hospital.

Police are investigating what led to the disturbance and shooting.
