AUSTIN (KJCE) -- Authorities have released the sketch of a man they say is responsible for attacking and sexually assaulting a woman in a north Austin apartment complex earlier this month.

The Travis County Sheriff's Office says the victim worked with a sketch artist to create the rendering.

Officials say the attack happened around 4:30 a.m. on June 9 as the victim was walking through the Churchill Crossing apartments in the 14100 block of Thermal Drive. The suspect asked the victim for money, then pulled her to a secluded area where he sexually assaulted her, stabbed her and stole her cell phone as he fled the area on foot.

The suspect is described as an approximately 30 year old black male with light complexion, standing 5 foot 6 with a medium build, straight hair, and a goatee. He was wearing a white shirt, blue jeans and brown jacket, and smelled of alcohol.

Investigators say the suspect remains at large. Anyone with information about the suspect or the incident should contact a tip line at (512) 854-1444.
