Teen killed in east Austin crash, EMS says

AUSTIN (KJCE) -- A teenage boy is dead and a woman is recovering from critical injuries following a wreck on the city's east side Saturday afternoon.

First responders were called to the intersection of Springdale Road and Rogge Lane just after 12:45 p.m. Saturday, on reports of an auto-vs-fixed object collision. Officials say the vehicle collided with a utility pole.

Austin-Travis County EMS says a teenage boy was pronounced deceased on the scene. A woman in her 30s was being transported to Dell Seton Medical Center with critical, life-threatening injuries.
