Triple digit heat continues Friday into the weekend

AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Triple digit heat continues again Friday, along with a heat advisory now covering much of the Hill Country in addition to the I-35 corridor.

A Heat Advisory continues until Saturday at 7pm for the entire Austin metro area...

Sunny skies will send temperatures back into the mid 100s again Friday, with the forecast calling for a high around 104 with heat index values nearing 106. The record high at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, set back in 1956, is 104 degrees; Mabry's record is 107 degrees, set back in 2013.

After sunset, temperatures will gradually fall into the upper 70s overnight.

SATURDAY NIGHT...Partly cloudy. Lows in the upper 70s. South winds 5 to 10 mph. Highest heat index readings up to 105 early before midnight.

SUNDAY...Mostly sunny. Highs around 105. Southwest winds 5 mph shifting to the southeast in the afternoon.

SUNDAY NIGHT...Partly cloudy with a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Lows in the mid 70s.

MONDAY...Partly cloudy with a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs around 100.

MONDAY NIGHT...Partly cloudy with a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Lows in the mid 70s.

TUESDAY...Mostly sunny with a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs in the upper 90s.

TUESDAY NIGHT...Mostly clear. Lows in the lower 70s.

WEDNESDAY...Mostly sunny in the morning then becoming partly cloudy. Highs in the upper 90s.
