Two separate shootings leave two injured overnight

AUSTIN ( -- Austin Police are investigating two separate shootings overnight that sent two people to the hospital.

The first shooting happened in south Austin late Saturday night. Police responded to the 700 block of Turtle Creek Boulevard just after 10:30 p.m. Saturday. One person was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The second happened in the downtown area near the Austin Resource Center for the Homless, or ARCH, at 500 East 7th Street. That call came in around 3 a.m. Sunday morning. Police have not provided details on injuries in that shooting.

No suspects have been identified in either shooting.
