Victim found dead on 6th Street early Saturday identified

AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Police say a woman's death on 6th Street early Saturday does not appear to be suspicious.

Austin Police were called to 115 East 6th Street just after 4:15 a.m. Saturday morning, on a report of a woman having fallen off of a building. When first responders arrived, they found 23-year old Queen C. Benson lying on the sidewalk unresponsive with obvious trauma. Medics tended to her injuries and attempted to resuscitate her; however, Benson was pronounced deceased at 4:43 a.m.

Homicide detectives interviewed witnesses on scene. The Travis County Medical Examiner has conducted an autopsy, but is awaiting toxicology results before making a final ruling. Based on the information collected, police say Benson's death is not suspicious.
