WilCo adds another 5 new cases of COVID-19, now at 27

WILLIAMSON COUNTY (Talk1370.com) -- Williamson County officials say they've identified 5 more cases of COVID-19, bringing the county's total to 27 as of Thursday morning.

According to the Williamson County Health District, two of the new cases were in Leander, while Austin, Cedar Park, and Round Rock added one each. Four of the cases were female, while one was male. Three of the new cases are over the age of 60, one is between age 41 and 60, and one is between age 18 and 40.

Overall, ages 41 to 60 represent the majority of WilCo's cases, at 10; the 18-40 age group is right behind with 9 cases, and people over 60 represent 7 cases. One of the cases is under 18 years old.

If you have symptoms of respiratory illness including cough, fever and shortness of breath, please contact your health care provider. It is important to call ahead before arriving at a clinic, urgent care or emergency department to avoid potential spread.
