2019's Doing the Most Good Luncheon is a time for The Salvation Army Austin Area Comand and the community to celebrate the successes from 2018, challenges, what inspires The Salvation Army to continue the fight for good and being on the forefront of ending the cycle of homelessness in our community. This year's luncheon will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, May 17, at the Hyatt Regency Austin.

Come and celebrate National Salvation Army Week and be inspired with a unique multi-media experience featuring local stories, film, and live music. Last year, the crowd of 600 had raised almost $260,000 to help prevent and end homelessness in Travis and Williamson counties and to help fund The Salvation Army’s expanding services.

Major Andrew Kelly with the Salvation Army stopped by Inside Austin to discuss the Doing The Most Good Luncheon, as well as the Salvation Army's work to answer the challenge of homelessness across the Austin area.
